( We will be covering the questions on Chapters 9 - 24)
Christmas Tea
Come join us for a Christmas tea. No presentations have been planned, so we should have ample time for a lively discussion while we celebrate the holiday season. As we did not get to our questions on Nicholas Nickleby at our October nor November meetings, we will have a question marathon ( chapters 9-24).
Please feel free to come in Victorian apparel. A collection of top hats, frilly caps, gloves, etc. will be available. We will have Ellie's hot cinnamon cider, Christmas carols, potato latkes and dreidels and a variety of home-baked goodies. We will not be having a raffle but voluntary donations to the Tiny Tot fund would be most welcome!

March Victorian Tea and Dance
Our Tea Dance, hosted by the Dickens Fellowship of Montreal, in collaboration with the Westmount Public Library, will take place on Sunday afternoon, March 29 from 1:00-4:30 P.M. at Victoria Hall.
Arduina Alonzo and Michael Landry are the instructors. They have been teaching English Country Dance classes for many years in Montreal.
Sandwiched between two hours of (very beginner) dance lessons, we will be having a lovely sit-down tea complete with scones, cream and jam, various delicate sandwiches (including cucumber!) and many small cakes and goodies. There will be tea served and cold, spiced, non-alcoholic cider available for our thirsty dancers.
Period costumes are welcome but not required. There will be toasts to the immortal memory of Charles Dickens.
The cost is $20.00 for all, whether dancing or not. Spaces are limited so reserve a spot as soon as possible. There will be no tickets sold at the door. Tickets are available at Westmount Library or spaces can be reserved through me.
Guests are welcome to forego the dancing if they choose, enjoy their afternoon tea and watch the fun. Please specify when obtaining or reserving your place, whether or not you will be dancing.
We so hope you can join us. It promises to be loads of fun.
